Fortress Defense is a tactical stronghold protection simulator that emphasizes real-time resource allocation and unit-type counterplay. Players manage a dynamic defensive line against procedural waves of enemies, ranging from light infantry to massive siege engines. The core experience centers on building a sustainable combat economy to fund turret upgrades and soldier deployments, making it ideal for fans of classic tower defense who enjoy high-stakes management and defensive optimization.

You are the commander of a fortified stronghold. Your objective is to survive waves of attackers by placing military units and defensive turrets along the enemy's path. Use the gold earned from fallen enemies to hire reinforcements and upgrade your wall's durability. Interaction involves dragging and dropping units into strategic positions and manually triggering special abilities like "Airstrikes" when the "Siege Meter" is full. You must adapt your formation in real-time to counter armored units and aerial threats.

Achieving 3-star defense depends on "Economic Snowballing." In the early waves, prioritize "Gold Generator" units or low-cost defenders to build a large currency reserve. A pro strategy is to utilize "Overlapping Fire-Zones"—placing slow-effect turrets (like Ice Towers) in front of high-damage cannons. This increases the "Time-on-Target" for your projectiles, allowing you to neutralize high-health siege engines before they reach your gate, securing the "Perfect Defense" score multiplier.
